Community supported agriculture (csa)

Green Beans

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is an effective way to build direct connections between farmers and local consumers. Community members pay the farmer an annual or seasonal membership fee by a certain due date to cover cost of production. In return, the members receive a share of the harvest during the local growing season. This is a mutually beneficial arrangement that assures the community member the freshest, sustainable produce and provides viable support for the farmer. CSA members enjoy the rewards of harvest as they share in the risks of farming.
